Sonia Gandhi, President of Indian National Congress and one of the most influential personality in Indian politics. Sonia was named the third most powerful woman in the world by Forbes magazine in the year 2004 and was ranked 6th in 2007. In 2010, Gandhi ranked as the ninth most powerful person on the planet by Forbes Magazine.
The British magazine New Statesman listed Sonia Gandhi at number 29th in their annual survey of "The World's 50 Most Influential Figures" in the year 2010.

Sonia Gandhi prepares an excellent red chilly oil which is a base for salad dressing. She also followed various cookery shows in her early wedding life. She often used to make delicious pasta for her mother-in-law Indira Gandhi.
- She truly believes in "Cleanliness is Godliness"
She is very particular about cleanliness and keeps hear house neat, clean and organized. She is often seen dusting her room herself.

Just after a month of Sonia - Rajiv marriage, Sonia's mother left for Italy. Sonia was sad and then she receives a cute little note from mother-in-law Indira Gandhi that read "Hi Sonia, this is just to tell you that we all love you."
In her early days of married life, she was often seen on a Lambretta scooter with husband Rajiv Gandhi on Delhi roads. Her favorite place to hang out was India Gate where they both used to have Ice-creme.
- A love affair with Sarees
She loves dressing up is saree. Her favorite is the cotton handloom sarees, particularly traditional weaves. On her wedding day she wore a pink cotton saree woven by Nehru. Years later daughter Priyanka wore that same sari for her wedding.
We haven't seen the artistic side of Sonia Gandhi, but she has done an art restoration course from the National Gallery of Modern Art.
She loves reading, infact reading is her favorite pass-time
Yoga is the part of her daily routine. She avoids eating pastas, pizzas, noodles and all the other junk food items.
