very Sleek, Smart and Sporty - Hyundai Hatchback Cars in India

Sleek, Smart and Sporty - Hyundai Hatchback Cars in India
Chung Ju-Yung founded the Hyundai Engineering and Construction Company and later in 1967 founded Hyundai Motors limited. Hyundai as a word means modernity, which truly reflects in Hyundai car designs and technology. Hyundai entered Indian market quite late as compared to other carmakers. In 1996, Hyundai came to India and established a production plant in Irrungattukotai near Chennai. Hyundai’s first product made in India was Hyundai Santro that was a huge success. The tall-boy small car features impressed Indian crowd and still is the most successful car from Hyundai. Hyundai has two manufacturing plants in India located at Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu. Both plants have a combined annual capacity of 600,000 units. In 2007 Hyundai opened its R&D facility in Hyderabad. Getz was not as successful as Santro, the car didn’t do well on the Indian grounds but Hyundai came back with a bang and launched i10 and i20. Hyundai Accent and Verna are another two successful cars in A3 segment that are popular amongst Indian crowd.
Following are the Stylish and Sleek Hatchback Cars from Hyundai
  • Hyundai Getz Prime – Getz is a stylish car inspired by the Euro-Chic designing with some exciting and thoughtfully done interiors. The car with International driving standards equipped with 1.3L SOHC engine will surely give you a global driving experience. Replaceable bumper inserts, stylish headlamps, front fog lamps, radiator grille, and rear combination tail lamps and few things that add up to the whole look of Hyundai Getz. It is now discontinued.

  • Hyundai Santro Xing – Santro was the first product from Hyundai India. It is the most successful car that charmed Indian Crowd. The best thing about Santro is tall-boy small car features that made Indians go ga ga over it. It was launched in direct competition with Maruti Suzuki Zen. Santro has now gone under various face-lifts and improvements to suit Indian consumers. It is now selling in competition with Maruti Suzuki Wagon R and Zen-Estilo. Starts at INR 2,81,879 (Ex- Showroom price Delhi)

  • Hyundai i10 – i10 was a great come back car for Hyundai after Getz’s disappointment. Previous models (santro & Santro Xing) were a huge success but Getz failed to do well in Indian Market. i10 was a new entrant in small car segment in India. The small car segment caters to a large audience and Hyundai was able to make a place with i10. The sporty looks, latest technology, compact yet spacious interiors and style are among the few things that grabbed everyone’s attention. The variants of Hyundai i10 that are available in India include Asta, Asta w/Sun Roof, D-lite, Era, Magna (O) with Sun Roof and Sportz. The launch price of the car is around Rs 4 lakhs. Starts at INR 3,52,316 (Ex- Showroom price Delhi)

The car is equipped with a 1.4 L CRDi engine, which is good for fuel-efficiency and the car can run few more miles. The car falls in premium hatchback category and comes with both fuel option i.e. diesel and petrol. Looks and style is what catches the eye, the sporty looks and style truly reflects European influence. Korean designers design the interiors. If you are looking for a powerful diesel car for city use, the i20 CRDi with its powerful engine, sharp looks and high residuals should be at the top of your list.
